Our Principal, Deirdre Kiely, has a keen interest in the Charity, Not for Profit and Membership Organisation sector.

Deirdre has been a board member of the Social Finance Foundation (www.sff.ie) and past chair of its audit committee. She is a former board member and Audit Committee chair of Barnardos (www.barnardos.ie).

Deirdre is vice president and council member of CPA Ireland www.cpaireland.ie. She was recently appointed to the Charity Appeals Tribunal by Minister Frances Fitzgerald.

Deirdre has experience as a Statutory Auditor to a number of organisations within the charity, not for profit and membership organisation sector. She understands the charity regulatory environment and participated in a working group with the Charities Regulatory Authority dealing with the charity accounting and reporting regulations. She has first-hand practical experience of the sector having served as acting finance director with Barnardos for 17 months and was involved in the implementation of FRS102 and the Charities Statement of Recommended Practice “SORP” (revised 2015).
