Audit, Accounting and Assurance

Not every company requires an audit. The Companies Act, 2014 expanded the range of companies that can avail of audit exemption to include small companies, dormant companies and small groups. If you require further information on whether your company requires an audit please do not hesitate to contact us. If your company does not require an audit we will advise you of this as it may be an unnecessary expense.

Audit Exemption

If your company does not require an audit you will still need to prepare audit exempt financial statements which will be used to prepare abridged financial statements for filing with the Companies Registration Office “CRO” and the Revenue Commissioners. Irish and UK accounting standards have undergone a substantial change with the introduction of FRS 102, the new Irish and UK GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), which is applicable for financial statements prepared from 1 January 2015 and include comparatives for 2014. Our principal has a Certificate from CPA Ireland in FRS 102 and can assist you with the transition.
